A late Victorian to Edwardian tea caddy crafted from solid mahogany, featuring a gently sloped lid with a raised central panel and a well-balanced, architectural form. Designed for the storage of loose tea, this piece reflects the practical elegance of traditional English tea wares from the turn of the 20th century.

The warm tone of the mahogany, combined with restrained bone detailing and brass hinges, gives the caddy a timeless presence that works equally well as a functional object or a decorative piece.

Dimensions

- Height: 15 cm
- Length: 20.3 cm
- Width: 12 cm

Condition

- Good - This tea caddy is in good antique condition, with wear consistent with age and use.
- The original feet are no longer present, and the caddy now sits flat on its base
- The internal compartment lids feature later-added bone pulls, used in place of the original fittings
- When empty, lifting one of the internal lids may cause the caddy to tip slightly backward; this is likely due to the absence of the original feet and the lack of internal weight. When filled, it should sit more securely
- Light surface wear, handling marks, and small signs of use are present throughout
- No cracks, warping, or structural instability observed

Overall, the caddy remains solid, complete internally, and visually appealing, with honest signs of age rather than damage.
