Additional Information
The Pomona collection by Portmeirion takes its name from the Roman goddess of fruit, celebrating the beauty and abundance of orchards. Each design in the range draws inspiration from The Pomona Britannica (1818) by George Brookshaw, a renowned botanical reference of the early 19th century.
Introduced in the early 1980s, the collection became instantly recognisable for its lifelike fruit illustrations and versatility—allowing each piece to be mixed and matched seamlessly.
The White Dutch Currant plate is a rarer subject in the series, admired for its delicate golden berries contrasted with richly detailed foliage. Crafted in Stoke-on-Trent, England, this plate carries the traditional Pomona backstamp and reflects Portmeirion’s signature blend of artistry and practicality.
