Dimensions

- Diameter: 23.9 cm

Condition

- Excellent - This piece is a genuine vintage item, approximately 25 to 60 years old. It has been carefully inspected to ensure it meets the high standards of our collection. Given its age and the nature of flintware, we provide the following specific details:

Glaze & Surface: The glaze remains bright and lustrous, retaining the deep forest green clarity of the original pattern.

Wear: Very light "fork wear" or surface stacking marks may be visible when held to the light, which is typical for pre-loved dinnerware.

Structural Integrity: No chips, cracks, or professional repairs. The rim is smooth and the foot ring is stable.

Authenticity: Fully backstamped with the Rörstrand Sweden mark and the VDN F555 quality code.

A Note on Vintage Flintware: As highlighted in the original Rörstrand production leaflets, minor manual variations such as tiny "beauty spots" or slight differences in transfer alignment are part of the artisanal charm of this era and are not considered defects.

Set of 6: All six plates in this set have been colour-matched for a cohesive table setting.

Additional Information

1. Design & Features
- The Grön Anna (Green Anna) pattern is a cornerstone of Swedish design history, originally dating back to the late 19th century.
- This version features the 1964 modern redesign by the renowned Carl-Harry Stålhane.
- The aesthetic is defined by a deep forest green, Neo-Rococo floral motif that meanders across a crisp white base, finished with a distinctive scalloped rim.
- It perfectly balances traditional Swedish charm with the clean lines required for a modern table setting.

2. Craftsmanship
- Each piece carries the legacy of Rörstrand, Europe's second-oldest porcelain manufacturer, founded in 1726.
- True to the brand's heritage, these items were produced using traditional manual techniques.
- As Rörstrand’s own archive notes, the unpredictable nature of the kiln fire and the hand-finished elements mean that slight variations in colour, thickness, or minor beauty spots are not flaws. Rather, they are authentic hallmarks of a handcrafted ceramic process.

3. Uses & Versatility
- At 23.9 cm in diameter, these dinner plates are the versatile workhorses of the collection.
- While they are historically significant collector's items, they are designed for the rigours of daily life.
- Their robust flintware construction makes them ideal for everything from a formal Sunday roast to a quiet, intentional weekday meal.
- Because we offer these as individual replacements or sets of six, you can curate exactly what your home requires.

4. The VDN Quality Code
This collection features the prestigious VDN F555 backstamp, a Swedish certification of peak technical quality.
- F (Flintgods): Confirms the material is high-quality flintware.
- First 5 (Crazing Resistance): The highest possible rating, indicating exceptional resistance to glaze cracks.
- Second 5 (Acid Resistance): The glaze is fully resistant to food acids and will not stain.
- Third 5 (Dishwasher Safety): Tested for high-intensity cleaning.

5. Care Instructions
Thanks to the F555 rating, these vintage pieces are remarkably low-maintenance for the modern home:
- Dishwasher Safe: Can be safely cleaned in a machine at temperatures up to 75°C.
- General Handling: To preserve the glaze’s lustre over the next century, avoid extreme thermal shocks (moving directly from a freezing environment to a boiling one).
- Storage: As these are flintware, we recommend felt protectors between stacked plates to prevent surface scratches over time.
