Additional Information

1. Design & Features
- The Montrose Silhouette: Characterised by fluid, feminine curves, a bulbous lower body that allows tea leaves to expand optimally, and a gently scalloped rim.
- High-Domed Lid: Features a beautifully matched floral border and is crowned with an elegant, gilded finial that serves as a focal point.
- Spout: Designed with an elegant, sweeping spout that ensures a smooth, balanced pour while preventing drips.
- Split-Twisted Handle: Designed with a structural upper thumb rest and decorated with a hand-applied gold stripe running down the spine to provide a secure grip when serving.

2. Craftsmanship
- Hand-Applied Gold Sponging: Rather than a painted line, the 22-carat gold detailing features the traditional stippled or sponged effect, allowing the metallic edge to blend softly with the fluted porcelain borders.
- First-Quality English Manufacture: Fired and crafted at the historic St. Mary's Works in Stoke-on-Trent, England. The factory backstamp is smooth and completely unmarred, confirming the item passed rigorous standard inspections with no aesthetic or structural defects.
- Premium Fine Bone China: Formulated for clarity and strength, providing a high-gloss white glaze that serves as a clean canvas for the floral motifs.

3. Uses & Versatility
- The Table Centrepiece: Functions as the essential anchor piece for serving loose leaf tea or infusions during formal gatherings or intimate weekend tea rituals.
- Focal Point: Its grand profile makes it a beautiful statement piece to display prominently on a kitchen dresser, side table, or open cabinet shelf.
- Investment Heirloom: Because vintage, English-made teapots are scarcer than standard tableware, it represents a highly collectible investment-grade item for heritage ceramic enthusiasts.

4. Care Instructions
To safeguard the delicate gold stippling and brilliant floral finishes:
- Hand Wash Only: Wash gently by hand in warm, soapy water with a soft, non-abrasive sponge.
- Keep Out of Dishwashers: High temperatures and harsh chemical detergents will wear away the 22-carat gold detailing and gradually dull the glaze over time.
- Do Not Microwave: Due to the high metallic content of the genuine gold stippling, this teapot must never be used in a microwave.
